Whether by plane and rental car, car ferry or public transport - "Villa Pefnos" in Agios Dimitrios can be reached easily and quickly. From Kalamata, you are about an hour's drive from your holiday paradise and the roads are very good. Here you can download the directions.
Arrival by plane
There are three possible airports. Athens has flights all year, in the summer months; there are direct international flights to Kalamata.
- Kalamata International Airport (KLX), about 1 hour by car
- Araxos National Airport (GPA) (near Patras), about 3 hours by car
- Athens International Airport - Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH ), about 3.5 hours by car
Arriving by car ferry
The Greek port of Patras is about 3 hours drive from Agios Dimitrios and is open daily to car ferries from Italy (Ancona, Bari, Trieste, Venice) .
Travelling by public transport
From Athens you can take the bus (KTEL) to Kalamata. From Kalamata there is a bus to Agios Nikolaos.
Car rental
You can book car hire in advance through many Internet providers or upon arrival in Athens, Patras or Kalamata. There are also car rental outlets in the nearby villages of Kardamili and Stoupa.
